Sharon Babcock
Choral Assistant, Singing for Life
Sharon
Babcock is a graduate of the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music. She began her teaching career in
Michigan as a middle school choral music teacher, later moving to the high
school level, where her choirs and soloists participated successfully in state
music festivals for many years. In Michigan, she also maintained a voice studio,
specializing in the development of the beginning high school singer. As a performer, she has had solo
engagements with many orchestral groups, including the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra and in addition, was alto section leader of the 40-voice Detroit Symphony
Chorale.
Sharon and her husband moved to the Philadelphia area in
2003. Here, she continues a voice
studio and sings with Singing City of Philadelphia and the Senior Choir at our
Bryn Mawr Church.
