Carillon
In September, 2005, a 37 bell carillon was delivered to BMPC and, over the course of several weeks, installed in the church tower. Cast of bronze in Aarle-Rixtel, Netherlands by the Petit and Fritsen foundry, our Carillon was assembled and finished by the Verdin Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. This carillon is made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor. In May 2006, the carillon was expanded to 49 bells.
The BMPC carillon is a visible sign that, beneath the tower of the church lies a holy and sacred space. Its ringing forth at carillon concerts, on Sunday mornings, at Vespers, memorial services, funerals and weddings proclaims to the community that this is indeed a special place.
During the recent renovations to the church, it was discovered that the church tower was equipped with a bell hatch. Obviously BMPC in the 1920's was thinking of bells!
