Fassang, organist
We're delighted to present
László
Fassang in his Philadelphia area debut.
Mr. Fassang teaches improvisation
at the Musikene in San Sebastian, Spain
and is the artistic consultant of the
organ concerts of the Palace of Arts in
Budapest, Hungary. In 2002 he won the
Gold Medal in the Calgary International
Organ Festival Improvisation
Competition.
"Putty under his fabulous fingers,
Fassang gave the performance of the day
(Liszt Fantasy and Fugue on Ad Nos),
which was talked about in terms of
wonderment in the lobby. -The Calgary

performed by the Senior Choir and an
expanded Chamber Orchestra of
Philadelphia. With special guests
Singing City Choir, Tamara Matthews,
soprano and Suzanne DuPlantis,
mezzo-soprano. More than 275 musicians
will pack the front of the church.
